Nutritious and delicious?

Nutrition & Wellbeing

Whether you’re a flexitarian, vegetarian or vegan – or simply curious about plant-based diets – you will have asked yourself this question. Well, read on, friend, and take our quiz to discover how to make both possible!

If you’ve dabbled with a plant-based diet, you’re not alone. Veganism and vegetarianism have been surging in popularity, joined by the latest member of the gang: flexitarianism. In case you didn’t know, this involves a semi-vegetarian diet that is centred on plant foods … but occasionally allows meat. Healthy and environmentally minded. What’s not to love?

Except, plant-based diets often get a bad reputation, marred by accusations of being boring or flavourless. We’re here to dispel those myths and confirm what you probably already know: there’s no need to sacrifice delicious for nutritious. You can have both – you just need to know what you’re doing.

Let’s start with the World Health Organization (WHO)1. It recommends that we eat a minimum of five servings of fruit and vegetables per day to help prevent major diseases. But did you know that around three out of four adults don’t meet these recommendations?2 In fact, most adults need to double their current intake of fruit and vegetables!

Luckily, following a flexitarian, vegetarian or vegan diet is one way to challenge yourself to become more creative with meals, and ensure a great spread of colours and phytonutrients ( black-eyed-bean salad with pomegranate or savoy cabbage rolls with wild rice and courgettes , anyone?). But, equally, being vegan, vegetarian or flexitarian doesn’t automatically offer immunity and good health. So, how can you make sure to get all the important vitamins and minerals? Take our quiz and find out.

Quiz time!

Ready to find out if you’re on track to lead a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle? Take our quiz and find out which nutrients might be lacking in your plant-based diet – and which supplements can support a healthy flexitarian, vegetarian or vegan way of life.

Cover a broad nutritional spectrum

Still not convinced you can hit your fruit and vegetable quota? Food supplements are a great way to guarantee that your body receives the right range of nutrients in proper quantities. Not to mention they also provide a quick and easy way for people with busy lifestyles to fill any potential nutritional gaps on the go.

The great news is that Nutrilite supplements feature a range of vegetarian and vegan-friendly options. Vegans and vegetarians can enrich their diets with Nutrilite All Plant Protein, Iron Folic Plus and Vitamin B Plus. In addition to these supplements, flexitarians can also enrich their diet with Omega-3 Complex. And, just like that, there’s no excuse for your diet not to be delicious and nutritious!
