Travel hacks for easy, stress-free packing

Nutrition & Wellbeing

How to make packing a breeze for your upcoming summer holiday. And as always – don’t forget to support your health and wellbeing on the road with selected Nutrilite™ products

It’s that time of year when many of us are preparing to travel. Whether you’ll be travelling close to home or abroad, one thing you cannot avoid is the chore of packing. However, there’s no need to let the tediousness and stress of packing suck all the fun out of your holiday.

Here are some travel hacks to make packing easy and relaxing this summer.

1. Start with a detailed list

Planning effectively for a trip is always a good way to start your stress-free holiday. A good rule of thumb when packing for a two-week holiday is to divide your list into the following categories: clothing, toiletries, carry-on bag, electronics, miscellaneous (don’t forget the sunscreen and first aid kit) and travel documents. Once you’ve got a detailed list, you can start packing your suitcase.

2. Save space by rolling, not folding

Tightly rolling your clothes allows you to fit more in your suitcase because the clothes are more compact. It also keeps the creases at bay and you’ll be able to see each item easily.

Simply lay each garment on a flat surface and fold towards the centre. The edges of the item should be as even as possible. As you roll, smooth the creases.

3. Make use of transparent resealable bags

Instead of a toiletry bag, place your items in resealable, see-through plastic bags. This prevents any leaks from damaging your clothes or other goods in your suitcase. A transparent bag will also help airport security if they have to go through your suitcase. When you reach your destination, you can use the bags to transport damp bathing suits or hand-laundered underwear that hasn’t dried in time. The plastic bags also make for a great way to organise and protect electronic cords in your bag.

4. Keep all travel docs with you in a separate folder

Make sure all of your documents are printed and kept in a folder for easy access throughout all the necessary checkpoints while travelling. For your own peace of mind and to avoid unnecessary inconvenience, also make sure to bring a certified copy of your passport. You should have these documents backed up electronically as well. For extra security, send the electronic files to your travel companion.

5. Don’t forget important nutrients!

When travelling, it is important to make sure you have the right combination of supplements on hand. The following are great for keeping you healthy and balanced while you’re on holiday:

  1. Cal Mag D Plus : Make sure you are getting enough calcium to support your muscle and bone health.* Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function and vitamin D (the “sun vitamin”) contributes to the absorption of calcium and the normal function of the immune system.

  2. Balance Within : This fast-melting powder contains 6 billion lactic acid bacteria from two scientifically well-documented strains. Available in convenient stick packs, it is perfect for taking on the go.

  3. Daily : This supplement is specially formulated to be a source of the essential vitamins and minerals to help meet your daily nutritional requirements. When you’re visiting a new, exciting place, it can be hard to keep track of your daily nutrients, so Daily helps you make up for what you might lack.

Here’s to a stress-free, relaxing holiday. Time to get packing!

* Calcium contributes to normal muscle function and is needed for the maintenance of normal bones.
