Weight management in the scientific spotlight

Weight Management

Amway experts present bodykey by NUTRILITE at a nutrition and genetics conference.

Once again, bodykey by NUTRILITE™ was recently a focus of interest in the scientific community. Dr René Roth-Ehrang, Katharina Pröll and Dr Nicole Bauer presented the modern weight management programme in Copenhagen at NuGOweek, an international conference addressing nutrition and genetics . The event was organised by the Nutrition and Genomics Association (NuGO), which consists of universities and research institutes that study the areas of molecular nutrition, personalised nutrition, nutrigenomics and nutritional systems biology. Their objective is to stimulate scientific research and development.

The 2016 annual conference focused on the interplay of genes, lifestyle factors and gut environment. “We are very proud that our research has been accepted for a scientific poster presentation,” said Nicole Bauer after the conference. “Amway is a regular participant at this conference but also other scientific meetings.” Amway also supports young scientists in their nutrigenomics research with the NUTRILITE prize for young researchers and Amway Europe is the sponsor of the NuGO award for the best scientific poster presentation.

Scientific research is high priority

Not for the first time, Amway presented bodykey by NUTRILITE in front of other scientists. Earlier this year Dr René Roth-Ehrang was invited as a speaker at the international conference Personalised Nutrition 2.0 in Amsterdam, where the world’s top academics from institutions such as Weizmann Institute, Cambridge University and University of East Anglia have presented their most recent peer reviewed and sometimes unpublished research on the microbiome, nutrigenomics and molecular nutrition.

Research has a long history within Amway and cooperation with universities around the globe to support the development of modern products based on the latest science. In a strong link to academia, Amway invites the world’s top researchers to become a member of the NUTRILITE Scientific Advisory Board. Among them are Professor Gary Williamson from the University of Leeds’ School of Food Science and Nutrition. NUTRILITE’s foundation is science combined with respect for nature. This combination of the best of science and the best of nature is one reason why NUTRILITE is one of the most successful brands of food supplements around the globe.
